Andre Johnson will have a huge 2008 fantasy football season if he can stay healthy. During the weeks he played, he put up some big numbers in 2007. 850 yards and 8 touchdowns on 60 catches is a pretty good season for an NFL wide receiver. He did that in only 9 games. That’s an average of over 6 catches, almost 100 yards and a touchdown per game.
He put up excellent numbers week in and week out, look for some really big numbers from this guy in 2008. Imagine if he gets comfortable with his quarterback. Johnson is probably my favorite of the top wide receivers coming into the draft. I would take a couple others before him just due to the injury he had last year. If he is healthy, though, I could see him as the top fantasy receiver this coming year. If he’s around towards the end of the second round, you should take a real hard look at Johnson, he is one of those players who has the kind of potential to win you a championship.
Value him a little higher if you’re in a point per reception league, he’ll snag 100 balls in the 2008 season easy.
