Jason Witten is a stud TE, and an excellent pickup for the 2008 fantasy football season.
Witten puts up numbers that compete with some of the top receivers. Coming from the tight end position, that is extremely valuable. It’s nice to get some big games, and overall solid numbers from the TE position, and well worth a fourth round pick.
Witten has a proven quarterback in Romo, and a Stud receiver in Owens. In addition to a strong run game and huge line, Witten is going to have another career year in 2008. 90 catches, 1200 yards and 10 touchdowns is very realistic. If you watch him play, he is a big guy with great hands. He can just chew up the yards once he gets his hands on the ball, and is a dangerous weapon in the red zone. Not only that, he also has the ability to break off the long gains.
Look for some big games out of Witten, along with very solid production week in and week out. Take him in the fourth round. He may slip to the fifth, but don’t count on it.
