Anthony Gonzalez turned in a decent rookie season last year, but remember, Harrison was out much of the season. Expect Gonzalez to return to being option number four for Manning, which is not a terrible thing. Just don’t expect him to put up the big numbers he did towards the end of the season unless something goes wrong with Harrison or Wayne.
I’m looking for the Colts to have a huge season on offense this year. Big numbers for Manning, big numbers for his receivers. Gonzalez may be Manning’s number four option, but can fit in as a bye week replacement or number three option on your fantasy team this season.
Take a look his way in the later middle rounds of your draft. He has some upside, especially if Harrison cannot return at full speed. Season two in the NFL can be tough for wide receivers, but Gonzalez has a leg up with his stud quarterback and hall of fame caliber wide receivers as his mentors.
