Derrick Mason will be an overlooked receiver in the draft this year yet again. He had another great season in 2008, but was snubbed for the pro bowl. Same kind of respect he gets in fantasy land too. Keep an eye on him, he will out perform his draft position again in 2009.

Mason has been around for years, but still catches the ball. Now he has a quarterback coming into his own throwing to him. Look for another 90-100 catch season. If he finds his way into the end zone a bit more often, he could be a huge pickup in the middle rounds. He’s a quiet guy, but one who will contribute. Also, if you play in point per reception leagues, add a bit of value to him as he does catch a lot of balls year in and year out.
