1.

Xavier Truss, G/OT, Georgia

Height: 6-7. Weight: 320.
Projected 40 Time: 5.20.
Projected Round (2024): 2-3.

9/16/23: Truss is starting at left guard. Georgia opened the year with easy non-conference opponents, so Truss has not been tested yet.

9/2/23: Truss was the starting left guard for the Bulldogs in 2022 and had a strong season. He was a reliable interior pass protector and an effective run blocker. With his size, weight and length, Truss is a massive interior blocker. It will be interesting to see if Georgia moves him to tackle in 2023.

2.

Donovan Jackson**, G, Ohio State

Height: 6-4. Weight: 300.
Projected 40 Time: 5.40.
Projected Round (2024): 2-3.

9/16/23: In 2023, Jackson is back at left guard and playing solid football for Ohio State. He was a tough blocker for the Buckeyes in 2022, blasting open holes in the ground game and doing a steady job of protecting C.J. Stroud. Jackson has upside to develop as he gains experience.

3.

Matt Lee, G/C, Miami

Height: 6-4. Weight: 295.
Projected 40 Time: 5.20.
Projected Round (2024): 2-3.

9/16/23: Lee spent four seasons at Central Florida before transferring to Miami. He has quality size and is a well-rounded blocker. He was very good in pass protection and a solid run blocker for the Knights.

Lee could be a riser if he performs well in his final season with Miami. He is off to a good start and played well against Texas A&M in Week 2.

4.

Tate Ratledge*, G, Georgia

Height: 6-6. Weight: 315.
Projected 40 Time: 5.40.
Projected Round (2024): 2-3.

9/16/23: Ratledge is starting at right guard. Georgia has yet to play quality competition with a weak non-conference schedule.

9/2/23: Ratledge was a rock-solid blocker for Georgia in the 2022 season. He locked down the right guard position after being injured in 2021. Ratledge has big size and legit play strength. It will be interesting to see if Ratledge is capable of moving to tackle.

5.

Cooper Beebe, G, Kansas State

Height: 6-4. Weight: 322.
Projected 40 Time: 5.25.
Projected Round (2024): 2-3.

9/16/23: Beebe has been impressive for Kansas State. He has played some snaps at tackle, but mostly has been at guard. Guard is his best fit for the NFL.

9/2/23: Beebe was an offensive tackle for a couple of seasons before settling in as a guard in 2022. He was superb in pass protection, not allowing a sack while being a steady run blocker for Deuce Vaughn. Beebe will enter the NFL with a lot of experience and developed technique.

6.

Beaux Limmer, G, Arkansas

Height: 6-5. Weight: 302.
Projected 40 Time: 5.25.
Projected Round (2024): 2-3.

9/16/23: Limmer is starting at center for the Razorbacks, and they have cruised over easy opponents thus far.

9/2/23: Limmer was a steady interior blocker for the Razorbacks during the past few seasons. As a senior, it would help him to show more strength and add some weight to his frame for the NFL.

7.

Zach Frazier, G/C, West Virginia

Height: 6-3. Weight: 306.
Projected 40 Time: 5.20.
Projected Round (2024): 2-3.

9/16/23: Frazier has been solid thus far for West Virginia.

9/2/23: As an underclassman, Frazier was a good blocker for West Virginia, starting his freshman season at guard before moving to center as a sophomore. Frazier did not allow a sack during his freshman season at guard before giving up three sacks in 2021. In 2022, he was the starting center and allowed only one sack all season. Center could be Frazier’s best fit in the NFL.

8.

Kelvin Banks*, G/OT, Texas

Height: 6-4. Weight: 320.
Projected 40 Time: 5.40.
Projected Round (2024): 2-3.

9/16/23: Banks is starting at left tackle for the Longhorns. He played well against the Crimson Tide and their future pro competitors.

9/1/23: Banks had an impressive debut as a freshman, starting at left tackle for the Longhorns. He was a steady run blocker and showed the potential to be a pass protector. With a quality skill set, Banks has upside and could be a riser for his draft class. Banks is candidate to move inside to guard as well.

9.

Javion Cohen, G, Miami

Height: 6-4. Weight: 305.
Projected 40 Time: 5.20.
Projected Round (2024): 2-4.

9/16/23: The Alabama transfer Cohen has played well for Miami thus far.

9/2/23: Cohen saw only 27 snaps as a backup in 2020, but he was still an All-SEC Freshman Team selection. In 2021, Cohen won the starting left guard spot and played well for Alabama. He did a very good job of opening holes for Brian Robinson and was consistent at protecting Bryce Young. Cohen has a good skill set and could rise in 2023.

10.

Walker Parks, G/OT, Clemson

Height: 6-5. Weight: 300.
Projected 40 Time: 5.00.
Projected Round (2024): 2-4.

9/16/23: Parks is starting at right guard this season for Clemson.

9/1/23: In 2022, Parks had a solid season at left tackle for Clemson. He broke into the starting lineup as a true sophomore in 2021, taking the snaps at right tackle for the Tigers. His run blocking is ahead of his pass protection, but he has upside and should improve as he gains experience and develops strength.

11.

Christian Mahogany, G, Boston College

Height: 6-3. Weight: 322.
Projected 40 Time: 5.25.
Projected Round (2024): 3-4.

9/16/23: Mahogany is back on the field, starting at right guard for Boston College.

9/2/23: Mahogany had a strong start to his collegiate career, starting two years – 2021 and 2020 – straight. He then missed the entire 2022 season with a torn ACL. Mahogany will need to return to his pre-injury form to restore his draft potential.

12.

Marcus Tate*, G/OT, Clemson

Height: 6-5. Weight: 325.
Projected 40 Time: 5.20.
Projected Round (2024): 3-4.

9/16/23: Tate is starting at left guard for Clemson.

9/2/23: Tate was having a solid 2022 season before suffering a season-ending injury in Clemson’s mid-November game against Miami. Tate showed improvement and upside in his second season as a starter. If he can consistently build on that growth, he could be a riser for his draft class.

13.

Matthew Jones, G, Ohio State

Height: 6-4. Weight: 315.
Projected 40 Time: 5.40.
Projected Round (2024): 3-5.

9/16/23: Jones is starting at right guard. Ohio State has yet to play a tough opponent.

9/2/23: Jones could have entered the 2023 NFL Draft, but he decided to return for his final season of eligibility. In 2022, his run blocking was ahead of his pass protection. Jones has quality size for the next level and the potential to rise if he improves in his final season.

14.

Jonah Monheim*, G/OL, USC

Height: 6-5. Weight: 295.
Projected 40 Time: 5.50.
Projected Round (2024): 3-5.

9/16/23: Monheim is starting at left tackle for USC. The Trojans had an easy schedule to open the season.

9/1/23: Monheim has been a versatile blocker for the Trojans, starting at guard and right tackle. Monheim could improve now that he has a year of starting experience. For the NFL, it would help Monheim to gain some weight and get stronger.

15.

Christian Haynes, G, Connecticut

Height: 6-2. Weight: 313.
Projected 40 Time: 5.30.
Projected Round (2024): 3-5.

9/16/23: Haynes is starting at right guard for Connecticut.

9/2/23: Haynes is short and lacks length, but he has a strong build and is tough at the point of attack. If Haynes stays healthy in 2023, he will have been a 4-year starter for the Huskies. Haynes may only be a guard prospect for the next level because he lacks the length to play tackle and may not have the athleticism of a center.

16.

Will Putnam, G/C, Clemson

Height: 6-4. Weight: 315.
Projected 40 Time: 5.25.
Projected Round (2024): 4-6.

9/16/23: Putnam has been decent for Clemson.

9/2/23: Putnam enters his senior year having been a 3-year starter for the Tigers. He played guard for the Tigers in 2020 and 2021 before taking over as the starting center in 2022. Putnam improved over each season, and while center could be his best position for the next level, he offers interior flexibility for playing guard or serving as the man in the middle.

17.

Darrian Dalcourt, G/C, Alabama

Height: 6-3. Weight: 310.
Projected 40 Time: 5.25.
Projected Round (2024): 4-6.

9/16/23: Dalcourt is starting at right guard for Alabama.

9/2/23: Dalcourt was the starting center for Alabama in 2022 and had good season. He showed improvement over his first year as a starter in 2021. In the middle of the line, Dalcourt was a consistent pass protector who did a nice job of helping to keep a clean pocket. Dalcourt has some size and length issues that could make him a center only for the NFL.

18.

Michael Jurgens, G/C, Wake Forest

Height: 6-4. Weight: 298.
Projected 40 Time: 5.25.
Projected Round (2024): 5-7.

9/16/23: Jurgens is Wake Forest’s starting left guard.

9/2/23: Jurgens was the starting center for the Demon Deacons for the past two seasons. As a senior, Jurgens may move to guard, but with his height, he could be a guard/center flex backup to start out his pro career. It would help Jurgens to add strength for taking on NFL defensive linemen.
